Flame Retardant For Rigid Foam

Fire protection for buildings is a long-term headache for all constructions. One of the mostly used insulation material is PU Rigid Foam, but it has poor flame retardant. Expandable Graphite, in this case, are considered a very good flame retardant for PU Rigid foam and proved by many users have a very good effect on oxygen index, which can make it up to 30; 

When there is a fire happen, graphite inside the PU foam will grow in size instantly hundred times, to generate a carbon layer on the burning surface, this cause further burn will need more oxygen, and the fire will stop simultaneously. This makes Expandable Graphite a very promising and must added material to Rigid Sandwich Panels for constructions.
